What's the opportunity?

The Growth team is on a mission to elevate a developer focused go to market motion including onboarding experience, pricing & packaging options and nurtured pathways to higher stickiness and longer term retention. By crafting a meaningful, trustworthy and supportive first impression, this team ensures that we make the most of every customer signup. Our Growth team is highly cross functional and hyper focused on data. In this role you will collaborate with our Customer First and Product Led Growth organizations to identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, drive greater adoption, and support successful onboarding through the product. 

You will join a distributed and diverse Design team that champions a high trust and inclusive team culture. Through research, creative exploration and thoughtful critiques our design team places a strong emphasis on creating top tier experiences for our customers. You’ll also play a key role in defining processes, teaching best practices, and elevating the craft bar across the entire Developer Experience Design team, both by mentoring other designers and by being a thought partner with the design manager. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and keen to take initiative.

You will:

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Managers and Engineers, prioritizing features and improvements, facilitating design discussions, and providing feedback for our entire Management dashboard
  • Work with product and engineering to build the roadmap for the Growth team at Okta CIC. This involves talking to engineers, other teams and customers
  • Design a thoughtful and informed user experience that creates a lasting positive impression for our customers
  • Build a deep understanding of our core customers
  • Support the launch of campaigns and tutorials within the product via Pendo
  • Define data and analytics to measure design solutions
  • Participate in research and communicate insights to help the team understand customer problems
  • Directly contribute to building a strategic, long-term roadmap for the Growth team
  • Share work early and often and seek out constructive feedback from peers, product teams, and other stakeholders
  • Iterate on solutions based on direct and indirect stakeholder feedback
  • Work together with designers on other product teams to keep work consistent, improve quality, contribute to our team processes and principles
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to develop and expand our product design system

You might be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have built onboarding and subscription experiences, particularly for Self-service: from defining consistent UX patterns to improving the overall user experience
  • Strong understanding of product led growth, conversion metrics and optimizing user journeys
  • Can distill complex problems into precise, simple, and delightful solutions
  • Have an advanced understanding of UI/UX/Visual design concepts and an exceptional eye for detail with a portfolio that showcases this understanding
  • Are driven by curiosity to understand the little details
  • Obsess over data- know how to make use of qualitative and quantitative data to back up your design decisions as well as suggest new research
  • Have experience with Pendo, Heap or other product engagement tools
  • Bonus: Have a background in Engineering/Front-end development
