Senior Product Manager, Advertising Ranking & Optimization
An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy:
Please note that this is a hybrid role based in Boston, and will require you to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Who We Are:
Wayfair believes everyone should live in a home they love. Through technology and innovation, Wayfair makes it possible for shoppers to quickly and easily find exactly what they want from a selection of more than 15 million items across home furnishings, decor, home improvement, housewares, and more. Suppliers are crucial partners in enabling Wayfair’s mission. Within Global Supplier Technology (GST), the Supplier Advertising team owns the strategy and development of Wayfair’s Supplier Advertising offerings which help suppliers boost visibility of their products and brands on our platform. This high-margin business is one of the biggest opportunities in Wayfair’s profitability.
Millions of customers visit Wayfair. Each time a customer clicks on a page, we strive to show relevant, personalized ads that are going to generate positive return on investment for our supplier advertisers. We achieve this through a combination of relevance models, a real-time auction, and exposing certain controls to advertisers. Achieving optimal auction outcomes is a complex problem requiring trade-offs across several goals.
As the leader for our Ranking & Optimization team, you will be responsible for maximizing auction outcomes across advertisers and/or customers across millions of auctions every day globally. Achieving this will require creating the right long-term incentives and making complex trade-offs across the system. Ensuring that each ad auction is delivering a positive customer and advertiser experience is critical to the growth and long-term sustainability of the Supplier Advertising program at Wayfair.
If you are interested in leading an empowered team and solving high-impact problems through a combination of research, applied science, and machine learning, come join us and help Wayfair through our next phase of growth.
