Senior Product Manager, CastleGate Forwarding

CastleGate Forwarding is looking for an experienced and strategic Product Manager to join its dynamic team. This role is a blend of product management and training expertise where you will be responsible for developing, enhancing and managing our freight forwarding solutions while also designing and implementing a comprehensive corporate training program. 

What You'll Do

Product Management

  • Oversee the entire freight forwarding product lifecycle from concept to launch, including product development, testing and improvements
  • Deliver high quality products that further enhance the CGF Value proposition for its customers base
  • Build and leverage relationships with the Sales and Service Teams to assess suppliers/customers pain points and areas of opportunity through the Voice Of the Customer program 
  • Travel to conferences, trade shows, in person meetings to conduct competitive analysis, market research and customer feedback sessions to identify new product opportunities and improvements for existing product offerings, 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including CGF and Wayfair to understand market and supplier specific demands, translate these demands into actionable product strategies
  • Define product roadmaps, Key Performance Indicators and milestones that align with company goals
  • Manage product budget, resources and timelines to ensure successful product delivery
  • Work closely with tech team to deliver high quality product features and enhancements while ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards
  • Own the supplier experience and drive improvements to NPS across the supplier portfolio

Corporate Training Program Development and Execution

  • Design, implement and manage a corporate training program for CGF employees supporting freight forwarding operations
  • Help develop comprehensive training curriculum, materials, including e-learning modules, manuals and assessment tools to ensure consistent and efficient knowledge sharing. Train internal cross functional teams as needed.
  • Coordinate the training execution with department sponsors to identify skill gaps, training needs, material creation/maintenance
  • Create training schedules and sessions that support belt certifications, addressing core competencies and specialized skills specific to the freight forwarding industry
  • Facilitate training for new entry level hires
  • Track and assess training outcome, driving e-NPS improvements through the execution of the corporate training program. Adjust program content to ensure objectives and employee feedback are taken into account
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices and regulatory updates to incorporate them into the training content

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business required and a minimum of 5 years in product management, customer success, operations, logistics, supply chain environment, learning & development or sales enablement
  • 5-10+ years of experience in product management within the freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain industry
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, ideally in a corporate or professional environment
  • Managerial experience preferred with ability to train, develop and lead a team against set goals and competencies 
  • Exceptional project management, data analysis, organizational and communications skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – executive presence, ability to influence internal/external partners as well as leadership
  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships and addressing negative feedback head-on
  • Collaborative self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced environment with a certain level of ambiguity
  • Ability to lead through influence and work effectively with people from various backgrounds
  • Proficient with Google Suite, Looker, Salesforce

 

An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy

  • All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
