Senior Product Manager, Data Infrastructure
Toast is driven by building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love.
The Data Infrastructure & Performance (DIP) team plays a critical role in supporting that mission by delivering the internal data foundations that power trustworthy, scalable, and actionable data across Toast. From governed, discoverable internal datasets to the systems that enable timely, personalized customer outreach, our team ensures that data is available, reliable, and ready for use across the business.
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead a key pillar of our internal data platform. This role will take ownership of a critical area of Toast’s data infrastructure—either our data governance and metadata platform, or our customer data infrastructure. In either area, the focus will be on delivering foundational capabilities that make data trusted, accessible, and usable at scale.

- Define and lead the product vision for core areas of Toast’s internal data platform, including capabilities such as metadata management, data classification, observability, identity resolution, or customer lifecycle modeling.
- Own the product roadmap and prioritization process in close collaboration with engineering, analytics, and compliance teams.
- Translate regulatory requirements, internal use cases, and stakeholder feedback into clear, structured product requirements.
- Partner with Data Engineering to deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines and platform services using technologies such as Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.
- Guide adoption of data infrastructure and tooling across teams by ensuring it meets the needs of data producers and consumers alike.

- Customer data infrastructure and activation: tools such as Hightouch, Tealium, Braze, Marketo, or equivalent; experience with identity resolution, event modeling, and operational data delivery.
- Hands-on experience with modern data architectures and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, metadata catalogs, reverse ETL platforms).

- Strong strategic thinking and systems-level problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate independently in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Clear and effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
Special Sauce (Nice to Haves)
