Senior Product Manager, Generalist
- Own features and experiments end-to-end. We follow a hypothesis-driven development approach where you’ll write product specs, drive cross-functional execution and work with Engineering, Design and Analytics to balance tradeoffs, driving to outcomes.
- Be an expert at prioritization. Balance your roadmap with tech foundational efforts and bugs to ensure that the highest value is delivered to users.
- Drive to results. Your expertise in navigating challenges that arise during execution will be important as you deliver on your roadmap: making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication to all of your internal stakeholders.
- Know your customer. You’ll work with a tight-knit team of data science, research, design and customer experience to ensure that you know the ins and outs of our users and are consistently delivering value for them.
- Building out what the future of the web experience could be and how it intersects with the desktop and mobile app.
- 8+ years of product management experience, ideally ownership of core surface or user experience.
- Impact driven and a consistent history of delivering measurable results for both users and the business.
- Deep understanding and empathy for end-users, and a track record of building products that make customers feel joy, delight and trust.
- Build alignment and listen well, but can also drive hard decisions, framing the different options and tradeoffs.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to analyze and use quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions.
- Strong communicator (written and verbal), with an ability to influence with cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Capable of diverging with partners in the Design function and converging with partners in the Engineering function.
- Expert at optimizing large scale surfaces by delivering increasing usability, customer value, and performance gains.
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $199,800 - $235,000 - $270,300.• US Zone 2: $179,800 - $211,500 - $243,200.• US Zone 3: $159,800 - $188,000 - $216,200. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
