Senior Product Manager (India)
The Senior Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product vision into clear, actionable tasks. This role is responsible for writing user stories, defining jobs to be done, managing the product roadmap & product backlog, and facilitating Agile processes to ensure successful product development and delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to drive product development and execution
- Act as the key liaison between the global teams (US, India, Philippines, LATAM), ensuring seamless communication, priorities, and feature development.
- Work closely with the assigned US Product Manager to understand the overarching product vision and strategy, roadmap, and lead the execution on their directives to drive product development efforts in India.
- Work with global teams to translate product vision into user stories and jobs to be done
- Engage with client-facing teams to understand client needs and communicate product strategies
- Manage the product backlog to align with project goals and stakeholder expectations
- Serve as the main contact for product-related inquiries from internal teams and clients
- Leverage data analytics (A/B testing, user behavior) to inform product decisions and optimizations
- Apply customer-centric design practices (user research, testing, journey mapping) for intuitive experiences
- Lead product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with client goals and business priorities
- Own key feature development by managing scope, timeline, and deliverables
- Lead product discovery sessions to define requirements based on client needs and business goals
- Write clear user stories with defined acceptance criteria and prioritize the backlog
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, reviews) ensuring clarity and feasibility
- Collaborate with global engineering teams, addressing blockers and ensuring smooth communication
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a digital agency or consulting environment
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and client services
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and sprint execution
- Experience with Agile principles and values, and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with Atlassian’s suite of products, including Jira and Confluence
- Experience working with commonly used CMS platforms such as SanityCMS, Contentful, Drupal, WordPress, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience managing both clients and internal teams
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple product initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage and balance short-term client needs with long-term strategic product goals
- Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in digital product development in industries like media & publishing, financial services, or e-commerce
- Proficiency with GitHub for product documentation or collaboration
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Interest in prototyping tools like V0 or similar, with a willingness to explore and implement new tools that enhance product development
