This role is central to our platform strategy and is a critical part of Fastly’s mission to make the internet faster, safer, and more resilient. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to evolve our logs, metrics, and tracing capabilities into a unified, intuitive, and self-service product experience. • Own and drive the vision and roadmap for Fastly's Observability product suite, including specific origin, domain & logging insight products as well as service-level metrics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize and ship improvements that improve developer workflows, reduce time to value, and drive adoption
  • Partner with Platform Engineering to scale ingestion, retention, and analysis infrastructure in a cost-effective and performant way
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies that align product value with customer growth and platform engagement
  • Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to inform ongoing investments and roadmap evolution
  • Define success metrics and ensure we deliver measurable improvements in product experience, business growth, and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in developer tools, observability, or platform infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of logs, metrics, traces, and how engineering teams use observability to debug, optimize, and monitor systems
  • Demonstrated ability to take products from 0→1 as well as scale existing offerings in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ship impactful features
  • Strong customer empathy, with a track record of translating user needs into product strategy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with technical stakeholders

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
  • Experience with edge computing or CDN infrastructure
  • Strong data analysis skills (e.g., SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
  • Building self-service workflows in SaaS platforms
