What is the Role
Elastic is looking for an outstanding product mind to join the Search team and help define the future of search and Elasticsearch at Elastic. The Search team is responsible for building the features, tools, and products that enable our customers to create great search experiences of their own. These search experiences span use cases from website search and intranet search, all the way to powering database search implementations and entire applications with search as a core part of the development stack, using the latest advances in machine learning and semantic search to support the most advanced of needs. As a Senior Product Manager your focus will be to understand the goals of the developers who are creating these search experiences and help define and prioritize the user experience that will inform and delight their journey.

What You Will Be Doing

Leading the roadmap for a new product line

Working alongside our software engineers, and design team to define product features and initiatives across the Search

Prioritizing the capabilities ranging from API, to integration libraries and more to ensure great end to end search experiences

Collaborating with our community and developer tooling team to enable the needs of different technical stacks (e.g. static, dynamic languages), including usage of LLM and machine learning.

Capturing market data, customer feedback, customer usage data, and other key information to develop product insights and help drive the product roadmap

Analyzing and addressing competitive dynamics within the product category.
What You Bring

Relevant Experience launching and building a search application for use cases such as customer support, Enterprise Search

Proven experience in Product Management, preferably in a developer-focused product environment

Startup-mentality and experience appreciated.

Outstanding spoken and written communication and storytelling skills!

Working knowledge of SaaS and/or IaaS product domains, including common design patterns, workflows, and delivery mechanisms.

Empathy for the challenges of builders & operators turning them into opportunities in the short and long-term.

A marked interest in new market-defining technologies such as vector search algorithms and machine learning is highly regarded.
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
