In the MongoDB Developer Experience Product Marketing team, we bring MongoDB products to life for developers, ensuring that they take advantage of all MongoDB has to offer using the tools and technologies they know, love, and use like IDEs, GUIs, AI frameworks, programming language drivers, and more. 

We are hiring for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will be dedicated to positioning MongoDB with developers and enabling our partners in Marketing and Sales to succeed in developer-led and developer-influenced GTM motions. This person will need the technical depth, messaging sophistication, and product marketing experience to drive our go-to-market activities targeting developers. 

In this role, you will be in an exciting position to capitalize on MongoDB’s popularity with developers while growing our mindshare to further establish MongoDB as the preferred data platform for building modern applications. You’ll be a member of a high-performing, globally distributed team dedicated to giving developers a best-in-class experience no matter their preferred tools, development environment, programming languages or frameworks. And you’ll work closely with an exceptional group of cross-functional peers across the rest of Marketing, Product Management, our extensive network of technology and go-to-market Partners, and more. 

This role will be based in Austin.

Position Expectations/Role Responsibilities/What You’ll Do...
  • Strategize and Execute - Collaborate with our Marketing, Developer Relations, Product Management, Partner Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to create and execute the strategic and tactical plan to strengthen MongoDB’s position as a market leader and preferred data platform for developers building innovative applications 
  • Enable - Empower our Growth Marketing, Product-Led Growth, and Sales and Customer Success teams with the right positioning, messaging, and content that continues to build preference for MongoDB with developers
  • Build - Messaging, GTM strategies, and content (e.g. decks, tutorials, webpages, white papers) that help prove to developers that MongoDB is an exceptional choice for their application requirements 
  • Evangelize – Serve as a subject matter expert and drive awareness of MongoDB’s developer data platform with internal and external audiences
Qualifications/Requirements/We’re Looking For Someone With…
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or developer relations, particularly with B2B SaaS or developer-facing products. Other roles and experiences related to developer marketing may also be considered
  • An understanding of the database market, programming languages, frameworks, and developer tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to lead with a point of view and create impactful messaging and content under tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments, effectively engaging with cross-functional teams and external partners while also being able to move the ball forward independently 
  • A low ego-to-talent ratio and collaborative spirit
Bonus Points If…
  • You have a degree in Computer Science or have completed a coding bootcamp
  • You have worked for a database, developer tools, or cloud provider previously
  • You have marketing experience related to GenAI

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$92,000—$182,000 USD
