Senior Product Marketing Manager, Observability

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, Observability, this role will provide thought leadership, strategic planning, and tactical execution of content development, sales enablement and customer engagement across DevSecOps personas. The successful candidate will bring DevOps, SRE, Observability, APM, Cloud Infrastructure and SaaS expertise to gain credibility quickly with our sales force, customers and prospects as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

  • Develop go-to-market plans through engagement and collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and other marketing teams to communicate the value of Sumo Logic’s observability offering.
  • Design and develop both technical, and non-technical, sales and marketing collateral including presentations, blogs, solution briefs, technical white papers, videos, and field training courses.
  • Collaborate with Partner marketing to assist in the development of additional collateral for resellers, MSPs and ISvs.
  • Deliver enablement to Sales, Sales Engineering, and Partner teams.
  • Develop competitive assessments, and creative collateral to position Sumo uniquely in the minds of practitioners.
  • Participate in integrated marketing campaigns by providing subject matter expertise, messaging, collateral, and sales-enablement and support.
  • Manage and coordinate marketing launch strategy for new observability features and capabilities.

 

Desirable Skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, or technical marketing roles with a complex SaaS offering geared towards DevSecOps.
  • In-depth industry experience and working knowledge of one or more domains across ITOps, DevOps, SecOps, APM and/or Compliance.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to evangelize how Sumo excels at offerings for personas in the observability space both internally and externally.
  • Technical subject matter expertise to be able to independently develop webinars, videos, technical collateral, ROI/value oriented assessments, etc.
  • Highly collaborative work style to learn from others and build upon their ideas.
  • Passion for driving product innovation and to effectively communicate cross-functionally within Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $158,000 - $185,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
