Your daily workout

  • You will be responsible for Site Selection and Partnership through the identification, evaluation and selection of suitable production partners and sites in North America, in collaboration with our purchasing, production and quality team at the German headquarters. You will build and maintain strategic partnerships with manufacturers.
  • You will coordinate Steel Fabrication by monitoring and controlling all production phases in steel fabrication, including metal forming, laser cutting, punching, robot-assisted welding, and powder coating of components.
  • You will be responsible for Supplier Management by developing and maintaining supplier relationships in North America to ensure smooth material flow and high-quality production standards.
  • You will ensure Quality Control by managing quality standards and process optimization through regular monitoring and analysis of production performance onsite at the suppliers.
  • You will demonstrate strong Leadership Skills as one of the first engineers in Denver.  You will be instrumental in establishing and growing the Hardware Engineering team, you will invest in the strong expansion of the team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Your fitness level

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent experience.
  • You have several years of experience in production management, preferably with a focus on steel fabrication
  • You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of metal forming, laser cutting, punching, powder coating, and especially robot-assisted welding
  • Ideally, you have a pre-existing network of manufacturers in the industry, facilitating efficient collaboration and enhancing our production capabilities.
  • You have excellent skills in supplier management, building, and maintaining partnerships.
  • You have strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  • You have proven success in managing relocation projects from Europe to North America (not required, but a plus.) 
  • You are able to meet the travel requirements of this role: 30% of your time will be spent traveling (including domestic and international travel to suppliers in North America and spending time blending teams with counterparts at our headquarters in Munich, Germany).

Your training goal for your first 6 months

  • You have developed a deep understanding of our tools and processes and can operate them properly.
  • You are well networked with your colleagues after your 2 months onsite onboarding phase in Munich, Germany.
  • You know our strength equipment very well and have spent at least one week working with our team in our partner’s assembly facility in Rhode Island.
  • You are able to independently support at least one supplier, moderate appointments, and distribute requirements to team colleagues.

The equipment we provide

  • You will earn an annual salary of $85,000 to $110,000.
