Your role and your team: 

As we start production of our ground-breaking eVTOL jet, we are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Production Test Engineer specialising in battery equipment to join our team! 

You will be joining a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and multicultural team and take the lead on the development, selection, procurement, and implementation of battery test equipment  Your role plays an important part in the test department within the Manufacturing Engineering Industrial team and helps to fulfill production test needs across all internal factories. 

You will work towards cross-functional standardization, automation, and growth of the production department and contribute towards the certification of the assembly lines. 

Your Day to Day.  : 

  • Lead the battery equipment acquisition and development process with external partners, from first design concepts until commissioning and handover into operations. 
  • Develop fixtures, tools, and scripts to automate production testing at different levels. 
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to determine test parameters, produce test documentation, troubleshoot, and perform quality assurance procedures. 
  • Assess and provide feedback to a design team towards design feasibility and optimization using tools such as DFT, DFM, and PFMEA workshops. 
  • Work closely with our system test department to help define adequate limits, procedures, and conditions for the test of the different sub-assemblies to fulfill the design intent. 
  • Engage in a global network for technology acquisition, new product designs, and modern production system solutions for all components and technologies needed. Communicating on a regular basis with test solution providers to develop execution plans that ensure the development of the right test solution, on time and within budget. 
  • Use CAD tools such as CATIA or Siemens NX to support the implementation of the test solutions. 

About you:   

We are looking for a strong communicator who can collaborate across functions to get things done. Production test experience is required and product design exposure would be a plus, ideally from automotive or aerospace industries. 

A track record within battery equipment deployment from requirements gathering to supplier selection and acceptance is important - we're looking for Production Test specialist who knows how to identify and supervise the right suppliers, demonstrating knowledge of related specifications and compliance. 

A great team worker who loves challenges and has achieved a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably specializing in Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical or physical sciences. 

Experience in the implementation of methodical approaches for identifying risk and failure modes such as PFMEA and troubleshooting such as Six Sigma and the ability to determine the component-level test coverage, working towards enhancing it close to ideal conditions.

Fluent English is required, good German language skills are a plus
