The opportunity 

As a Senior Project Manager - Business Technology at Urban Sports Club, you will play a pivotal role in implementing multiple concurrent large-scale, company-wide technology projects critical to our business's evolution, enabling the company to automate and grow at scale. 

You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualisation, investment, and procurement to development and deployment, ensuring these initiatives meet all objectives on time and within budget. To be successful you will work closely with Product Development, Operations, and Revenue leads as well as with Senior Management including our CSO, CFO, CPO, and CPTO. Key projects include implementing systems like CRM, ERP, and HRIS including platform migration.

This role demands a blend of technical understanding, project management prowess, and strategic thinking to navigate complex challenges and drive technological innovation across the company.

Your responsibilities 
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple technology projects, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic objectives and market standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among stakeholders from product development, business units including sales and finance, external vendors, and other relevant departments.
  • Set up and manage project budgets, FRIs,  timelines, and resources, applying rigorous risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication, ensuring timely and transparent information flow among all project participants, senior management,  Tech & Finance & People and Revenue Org leads.
  • Identify problems and find efficient and pragmatic solutions for blockers.
  • Ensure continuous team improvement, e.g. moderating regular retrospectives to improve the status quo and helping with team change management.
  • Work in an international, cross-functional, agile environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes.
What you need to succeed 
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Technology Project Manager, specializing in CRM, HRIS, ERP, or similar complex projects.
  • Proficient in project management and agile delivery methodologies, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Advanced understanding of technology trends and frameworks relevant to the industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management, delivering projects within allocated financial resources.
  • Experienced in change management, guiding organizations through significant technology transitions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, fostering relationships across all organizational levels.
