THE ROLE

As an experienced Project Manager, you will oversee project delivery for a number of projects in your own portfolio and ensure those projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard to the satisfaction of the Customer, Pure Advanced Services, and Pure Sales stakeholders. You will deliver Advanced Services projects, varying in complexity from medium to large, within the software development, software deployment, Kubernetes, and storage industry. You will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your project portfolio, including evaluating the impact of delivery on overall customer satisfaction, profitability, and business potential. You will have full accountability for compliance with Pure Storage’s revenue recognition rules and policies. You will use your experience to give input regarding the creation of methodologies and best practices and act as a change agent to build a culture of continuous improvement. You will also work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Business Development Managers, Services, and Engineering to successfully deliver Professional Services solutions for the design and deployment of modern Kubernetes solutions for customers. Travel may be required as customer, project and business requirements dictate.

WHAT YOU'LL DO...

  • Management of local and remote project resources both internal and external Pure partners
  • Being the primary interface into customer management including complex stakeholder management
  • Management of 3rd party partners/suppliers and/or other service lines within the business
  • Project scope management, ensuring customer value received, tracking processing project change orders, ensuring high-quality project deliverables, and documenting customer agreements.
  • Developing project plans and tracking progress versus the plan
  • Maintaining project/program reporting materials (via an online document repository such as Google Docs) and maintain project status documentation
  • Track and report project issues and risks and the impact on the organization
  • Establishing work timelines and managing resources consumed vs. forecasted level of effort
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{OFFICE_LOCATION}} office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • PRINCE2 or PMP certification
  • Management of billable professional services projects is essential
  • ITIL, AGILE & other certifications preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management in an external customer-facing environment
  • Excellent business writing and communication skills
  • Proactive approach to ensuring project success
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Collaborative self-starter
  • Knowledgeable on the full project management lifecycle from proposal through delivery
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solver; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Must be enthusiastic and action-oriented
  • Capable of independently solving complex workflow problems
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in a customer satisfaction-focused environment
  • Experience working in KeyedIn or Salesforce.com preferred, not essential
  • Experience working with Google Workspace Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Mail)
