Brief 

Output of this role is to use expertise and accumulated experience to define and shape projects of all sizes and complexity. Depending on the project, the Senior Project Manager may deliver alone or with the support of Project Managers or Project Management Coordinators.  

Career Development is typically provided by Program Director but can be adapted to suit an account and/or office location. 

Nature of role is that of a ‘deliver-er’: here to contribute with a proficiency that requires little oversight. Seen as a leader in the discipline who can inform delivery and is a go-to for the client.

Activities Performed

  • Working through dependencies with internal teams and third-party vendors 
  • Defining and updating project details, workback schedules and budget trackers

  • Communicating day-to-day with clients on project intakes, status and updates 
  • Identifying and acting on organic account growth opportunities with client services 
  • Resourcing project and providing input into long-term resource planning 
  • Communicating status updates to project team, Q/A project details 
  • Implementing delivery process/quality improvements 
  • Leading meeting notes, delegating and following up on action taken 
  • Mentoring conversations with Associate PM and/or PM  
  • Analysing and reporting on project health; attending finance meetings 
  • Participating in annual/bi-annual planning process, conversations and decisions 
  • Planning resources for projects, revenue and roadmaps 
  • Updating account roadmaps for projects
