MongoDB Professional Services (PS) provides deep expertise to support customers' most critical projects and maximise their investment in the MongoDB application data platform. Our Professional Services delivery teams work together with our customers to solve complex engineering problems, implement a variety of applications and use cases, and ultimately accelerate their time to value with MongoDB.
The Services Delivery Enablement team within MongoDB Professional Services is responsible for designing and developing enablement programs for a broad set of stakeholders within the MongoDB PS team and its consulting partner organisations, including consulting engineers, project managers and the broader delivery team. Moreover, the team is a driving force behind delivery processes, playbooks, systems and tools to help ensure these professionals are at the top of their game so that we provide a world-class customer experience.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to focus on the enablement of our PMO teams and help drive the growth of the MongoDB Professional Services business.We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in London for our hybrid working model.
What you'll do- Evaluate Training Requirements: Collaborate with PMO leaders and regional delivery leaders to assess training requirements, to build and deliver a training syllabus tailored to their needs
- Develop Enablement Content: Keep abreast of new processes, products, product features, and customer adoption scenarios by working closely with other MongoDB enablement teams. Build engaging, accurate, in-depth enablement content that ensures the success of our delivery teams and drives the adoption of MongoDB products
- Facilitate Onboarding Programmes: Deliver new starters onboarding training to ensure a quick ramp up period, setting them up for success
- Build Out Processes and Playbooks: Develop best practices and other professional services resources to drive excellence in project management and delivery management, ensuring that delivery teams drive customer success
- Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams on a global scale to break down silos and foster a unified culture of excellence
- Access to Enablement Systems: Ensure that all roles within the delivery teams have access to enablement systems and resources necessary to perform their roles competently (e.g. internal or external e-learning, etc.)
- Develop Methodologies: Help develop and maintain methodologies used by project managers, PS leadership, and the broader delivery team to ensure success in delivery
- Deliver Enablement Workshops: Build and deliver enablement workshops to upskill existing project managers and consulting engineers on topics driven by business requirements
- Professional Services Experience: 5+ years of experience in enterprise technology professional services, in a customer-facing delivery management, preferably project manager, role
- SaaS Experience: 2+ years experience working in a SaaS company
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills within complex, transformative projects, with direct responsibility for successfully managing project teams and budget, delivering high quality results on schedule and within budget
- Team Building and Coaching: Experience in building, coaching, and managing teams of Project Managers or similar PS roles, either directly or indirectly
- Adaptability: Demonstrated adaptability to technology innovation and ability to learn quickly in a rapid-growth, fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Collaborative Attitude: A “can-do” attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Consulting and Influence: Ability to consult with and influence at all levels within the organisation
- Relationship Building: Ability to develop relationships and assert credibility with both technical and business teams and stakeholders
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivation: High motivation for a role that requires soft and managerial skills to incept and drive change and improvement across the MongoDB Professional Services organisation, as well as a self-starter mindset
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations
- Familiarise yourself with the PS business, organisational structure, and existing enablement assets
- Attend and learn how to onboard and ramp up newly hired MongoDB project managers
- Learn how to use the Enablement tools that include GenAI-based systems, audio processing and Learning Management System
- Take ownership of parts of the enablement curriculum, developing new and revamping existing content to ensure that we provide an up-to-date learning experience for Project Managers, Consulting Engineers and other Professional Services roles
- Contribute to ongoing evolution of the enablement roadmap
- Act as a driving force within the MongoDB PMO community, meaningfully driving increased consistency and excellence in project delivery worldwide, through the build-out and crowd-sourcing of best practices
- Partner with various Professional Services teams and practices to assist in the continuous growth of the delivery management team
