Senior Quality Engineer in Test (SDET)We are searching for a talented and motivated Automation Engineer (IC3 Level) to join our growing team in India. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for our iOS and Android applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automated Mobile Application testing solutions using Appium framework
- Integrate automation systems with existing infrastructure and build systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose automation system issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems
- Conduct testing and validation of automated solutions
- Stay up-to-date on the latest automation technologies and trends
- Work collaboratively with engineers from other disciplines (e.g., backend APIs, Selenium based automation for Web UIs)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software automation engineering
- Proficiency in at least one automation programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, etc.). Ruby experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Appium or Selenium frameworks
- Experience with networking protocols (DNS, TCP, UDP, HTTP)
- Strong understanding of source control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
- Experience with CI tooling (Jenkins, TravisCI, Spinnaker, or TeamCity)
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles (OO Programming, Page Object Model)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mobile device automation via Appium
- Familiar with XCode and AndroidStudio
- Experience with metrics acquisition and analysis (Datadog, Graphite, Crashlytics, etc.)
