Role Summary

As a Senior Recruiter – GTM, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for senior, critical, and niche Go-To-Market roles across Japan. Acting as the talent lead for GTM hiring, you will partner closely with business leaders, HRBPs, and Finance to translate growth plans into effective hiring strategies. You will leverage market intelligence, data, and technology-enabled recruiting practices to build strong pipelines, drive hiring outcomes, and deliver an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.

This role requires deep knowledge of the Japan talent market, strong consultative skills, and the ability to manage complex searches involving senior stakeholders, niche skill sets, and competitive market dynamics.

 

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle GTM Recruitment
  • Own end-to-end recruitment predominantly for GTM roles in Japan (Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Alliances, Customer Success, etc.), including intake, sourcing strategy, interviews, offers, and closing - but not limited only to GTM or Japan. On a need basis you will be assigned roles in different functions of the organizations and also different geographies.
  • Lead hiring for senior, critical, and niche roles, ensuring speed, quality, and compliance with local labor practices.
  • Manage complex candidate scenarios including competing offers, compensation constraints, and notice period negotiations.
Talent Strategy & Market Intelligence
  • Partner with GTM leaders to shape hiring plans aligned to business priorities, revenue goals, and market expansion.
  • Use market data, funnel analytics, and talent insights to diagnose hiring challenges and adjust strategies proactively.
  • Design and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies tailored to the Japan market, including proactive outreach and long-term pipeline building.
Stakeholder & Consultation Excellence
  • Act as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers, influencing decisions on role scope, leveling, compensation, and hiring trade-offs.
  • Facilitate effective intake meetings, interview debriefs, and post-hiring reviews using structured, data-driven insights.
  • Build strong partnerships with HRBPs, Finance, and global TA colleagues to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
Process, Data & Quality
  • Leverage recruiting tools and technology to standardize workflows, ensure ATS hygiene, and maintain data integrity.
  • Interpret full-funnel recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pass-through rates, source effectiveness) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure fair, consistent, and compliant hiring practices aligned with company and local regulations.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner closely with Sourcers to enrich pipelines and support long-term GTM talent needs in Japan.
  • Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the TA team.
  • Serve as a role model for high-quality recruiting delivery, candidate experience, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong focus on GTM hiring.
  • Proven experience recruiting in the Japan market, with deep understanding of local talent dynamics, candidate expectations, and hiring norms.
  • Experience managing senior and niche searches in competitive markets.
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to use recruiting metrics to influence decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English (business level required).
  • Experience recruiting for global or high-growth technology companies.
  • Exposure to workforce planning, QBRs, and regional hiring strategy discussions.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled recruiting tools and modern sourcing techniques.
