GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for a Senior Revenue Accountant to help us scale the future in a fast-paced environment that's growing rapidly!

This role will lead the accounting strategy behind GoFundMe Pro’s revenue systems, with primary ownership of Zuora Billing and RevPro, foundational platforms that power our global monetization, billing, and ASC 606 compliant revenue recognition. You’ll ensure accuracy, scalability, and strong controls across high-volume, multi-currency transactions, serving as a key strategic partner to Product, Engineering, and Finance in shaping how revenue is designed, billed, and recognized across the platform.

Beyond day-to-day operations, this role anchors the technical revenue accounting function, translating new product launches and evolving business models into compliant accounting treatments and durable Zuora configurations. You’ll design scalable, SOX-ready workflows, drive automation, and ensure clean integrations with downstream systems to support audit readiness and financial reporting excellence. If you’re passionate about bridging advanced revenue accounting with modern billing and revenue technology and want to build and own systems that directly enable GoFundMe’s growth and mission, this is an opportunity to make a lasting, high-impact contribution.

The Job
  • Serve as the accounting owner for Zuora Billing and RevPro, overseeing product configuration, billing logic, revenue rules, and data flows to ensure accurate, scalable, and GAAP-compliant revenue recognition.
  • Manage the month-end and quarter-end close activities including preparation of revenue related journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analyses.
  • Translate accounting policy (ASC 606) into system-integrated logic in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for new product launches and monetization models, assessing revenue impacts and ensuring GAAP compliance.
  • Build scalable, SOX-compliant workflows to support accurate and timely revenue recognition across high-volume, multi-currency environments.
  • Own and refine reconciliation and close processes, enabling clean audit support and strong operational controls.
  • Partner with Deals Desk, Sales, and Legal to review and structure complex or non-standard contracts, ensuring pricing, billing, and revenue terms align with ASC 606 and Zuora system capabilities.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to be hands-on in building financial infrastructure from the ground up.

You
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting and in-house industry roles with a focus on systems and revenue recognition.
  • Hands-on experience with Zuora Billing and/or Zuora RevPro, including product configuration, billing workflows, revenue rules, and integrations supporting ASC 606–compliant revenue recognition.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606, and a proven ability to operationalize technical guidance into scalable systems and controls.
  • Demonstrated ownership of revenue close processes, reconciliation, and audit preparation across global transactions.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and integration points between product/data pipelines and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills; ability to manage priorities and translate between business and technical teams.
  • CPA or equivalent required.
