We are looking for a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager for our legal team in the heart of buzzing Berlin! 

You will:

• Identify potential threats, create plans to avoid and mitigate risks, and develop risk management controls and contingency plans to manage crises
• Create a risk management system
• Design processes to avoid or mitigate potential risks
• Prepare reports and presentations with recommendations and assist in communicating recommendations to management
• Support the implementation of solutions and plans
• Drive compliance and risk awareness / culture and provide training
• Further develop the Compliance Management System
• Provide practical solutions to compliance requests
• Increase further the awareness regarding compliance related topics
• Work cross-functionally with employees at all levels to ensure efficient integration of the compliance program into business processes
• Conduct compliance trainings
• Manage compliance systems and the coordination of whistleblowing management

You have:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in compliance, audit, or risk management
• Business degree preferred, unless equivalent experience is demonstrated
• Deep understanding of how to analyze regulations and further develop and implement procedures, policies, and trainings
• Data driven self-starter mindset with affinity to move things forward independently
• High-motivation and ability to further develop, manage, and successfully lead a project within a complex stakeholder environment
• Ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and deadlines as part of an international team
• High service-orientation, reliability, and with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to innovate
• Strong communication skills in English and German with the ability to effectively convey the company's core ethical values at all levels of the company. Knowledge of additional languages would-be a plus
• An independent self-starter mindset, with a high level of commitment and a "hands-on" mentality
• Good MS Office skills
• A sense of humor, common sense and a good team spirit

Nice to have:

• Work experience in an international environment
• Preferably, you have prior work experience in the area of data protection law
