Working in partnership with our client, the Senior Social Media Manager will build, engage and proactively support a social community through all key channels – social and digital. You will work with your team to craft the voice of brands online, represent their strategic positioning, and constantly look for opportunities to build their communities through conversation and interesting digital formats.

 ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

 Reporting to the Group Account Director, the Social Media Team Lead is a highly collaborative role within the team of 3.  

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Team Excellence 

  • Drive and support processes that ensure agility and quality within the creative team.
  • In conjunction with the Group Account Director, develop growth plans for your team and work on achieving annual goals.
  • Identify upskilling and training opportunities and work the Group Account Director provide these sessions for your team.
  • Provide constructive feedback that helps your team learn and grow.
  • Drive platform expertise within the team, encouraging sharing of trends, updates, articles and case studies. 

Client relationships 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Client, understand their business goals and how Social helps them achieve these objectives.
  • Keep clients abreast of new social trends and opportunities.
  • Oversee social retainers and provide input to ensure they are realistic and offer value to our clients.
  • Manage client issues and social crises in a timely manner. 

Strategy, Measurement and Reporting 

  • Develop and implement impactful social strategy and content plans which will deliver results for your Client.
  • Drive KPI setting and achievement within your team
  • Provide campaign and monthly reports ensuring quality and that deadlines are met.
  • Upskill yourself and your team on relevant tools that improve measurement and efficiency 

Collaboration 

  • Drive processes that ensure collaboration with Creative teams when it comes to briefs, brainstorms and reviews
  • Work with external teams like Media agencies, Partner agencies, influencers and content creators to ensure that work is delivered on deadline and on brief. 
  • Design internal acceleration sessions or workshops to ensure other departments understand Social and ways of working. 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.
  • Be a level, strategic thinker
  • The ability to manage client expectations when delivering projects
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive in approach and attitude  
  • The ability to spot opportunities to create content and help clients achieve their business ambitions in line with their content pillars
  • Successful implementation of content measurement and testing
  • Excellent written communication skills, and the ability to develop the voice of the brand within it
  • Professional and works well under pressure, retaining confidence of the client
  • Keen and active interest in digital trends and popular culture
  • Experience with working with a social media management tool
  • In-depth understanding of paid media and the role of influencers
  • Comfortable to act as the voice of the brand on social platforms 

Requirements 

  • 6 years + social media strategy 
  • FMCG and Retail experience preferred  
  • Must be well-versed in the creative process
