As a Senior Social Strategist, you will play a key role in developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand presence, engage audiences, and drive business objectives - in other words, social media is your bread and butter. You will be responsible for overseeing social media content calendars, campaigns,  analyzing performance metrics, and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure our social media efforts are innovative and effective. Most importantly, you are driven by a passion for evolving trends and technologies.

Please note that remote work is not an option for this role, and the requirement is to be onsite in our Calgary office. 

 You will:  

  • Provide community management for clients
  • Serve as the day-to-day social lead for client/internal teams
  • Social Listening on active clients and prospective accounts 
  • Develop POV's on a range of social topics as needed
  • Social thought leadership
  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media into broader marketing initiatives
    • Identify target audiences and tailor strategies to effectively reach and engage them
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools
    • Provide regular reports on key metrics, insights, and recommendations for improvement
    • Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize performance
  • Trend Monitoring:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms
    • Recommend and implement innovative strategies to maintain a competitive edge
  • Content Planning and Creation:
    • Lead development and implementation of social content/editorial calendars
    • collaborate with the social creative team to develop compelling social media content

You have:  

  • 4-7 years experience in marketing, public relations, and /or communications
  • Proven experience in social media management, with a focus on strategy development
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content ideas
  • Experience with Content Creators/Influencers is a plus
  • Agency experience is a plus

You will:

  • Collaborate with the team to align with project objectives, leveraging client insights and goals
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed budgets that align with clients' interests
  • Execute projects meticulously, adhering to established procedures and client expectations
  • Diligently manage and monitor project scopes, keeping the team informed about scope changes
  • Actively uncover opportunities for continuous process improvement and see through implementation of solutions
  • Actively engage in client and internal meetings, contributing valuable insights and updates while speaking from a place of ownership for your all projects: know the dependencies, scope, potential risks, budgets, trends of each of them 
  • Help manage change as teams progress into new using new tools and processes
  • Effectively coordinate project deliverables, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Craft compelling and coherent client materials that convey project progress and outcomes
  • Establish, implement, and oversee quality standards for project deliverables
  • Manage project communication channels and document issues and changes that impact project progression
  • Develop status reports and collaborate with project leaders to optimize resource allocation
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment, fostering creativity and excellence
  • Skillfully manage project budgets, revenue, purchase orders (POs), and invoices
  • Proactively identify, analyze, prioritize, and communicate potential project risks

You have:

  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience managing various digital project types, including marketing campaigns, design production, and creative automation, with a focus on paid social, banner ads, mid-funnel, and lower-funnel strategies. Your expertise lies in combining strong design and strategy with scalability and efficiency while driving process improvements
  • A strong understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques, allowing you to expertly manage and control project scope, schedule, budget, and resource management/reporting. You excel in change management, project roadmap development, and precise revenue forecasting
  • A proven track record in team management and client interactions, where you've successfully navigated discussions around project scope, schedule, budget, as well as roadmaps, objectives, and strategies
  • Strong understanding of how disciplines work together and know all areas of the project that is executed by the agency 
  • The ability to tactically organize and structure activities, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a receptive attitude towards feedback, allowing you to effectively engage with both your team and clients
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills that facilitate the efficient management of tasks and resources, making you a valuable asset to project success.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset, setting a positive example for your team by actively seeking innovative solutions to project challenges
  • The ability to stay focused on driving goals, even in high-pressure situations, ensuring project objectives are met with dedication and composure
