What you’ll do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Persistence team in our Platform domain.

Your mission will be to address security risks associated with data (exposure, leaks, etc.), and to support Doctolib Tech & Product scale. The team is responsible for the Data Retention framework that’s used by all Doctolib feature teams to delete their data from the database after a period according to user settings, state regulations, or operational constraints.

You will contribute to designing, building, enhancing, maintaining, and operating the framework to ensure its scalability and reliability.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features to improve healthcare access for practitioners and patients
  • Take a leading role within the team and contribute to establishing a technical vision that ensures the performance, security, and usability of the application.
  • Bring your expertise and experiences to help us continuously improve the way we design, implement, test and monitor high-quality features
  • Improve the performance of key features implemented in Ruby
  • Take leadership on delivering roadmap items (together with the team)
Who you are

  • You have at least 5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on Backend and Databases. Preferably Ruby and Relational databases.
  • You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
  • You have a good understanding of web technologies and software development life cycle
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code
  • You are eager to share your knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring

You enjoy working on a large code base and support multiple different product branches simultaneously
