We are looking for a talented and motivated (Senior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) who is driven by the idea of facilitating technical decisions and who wants to have a great impact on health & fitness in our society. Our cross-functional teams develop the application for our connected fitness floor. Our aim is to improve the gym experience for everyone by providing effective training plans, motivating training visualization, connected services, and affordable gym access.   • You write well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices 
  • You and your team are responsible for designing scalable cloud-based microservices, using Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Container Engine
  • You work in a DevOps culture - “you built it you run it” is your motto
  • You learn and evaluate new technologies and skills and share this knowledge with other developers in the company

Your fitness level

  • You are a Software Engineer (m/f/d) with at least 3 years of experience, who can write clean and effective code
  • You should be open to writing code in Golang and Java as we work with both languages
  • You have good experience with data modeling and you are familiar with database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Google Firestore)
  • You understand the requirements of cloud applications and have a deep understanding of Event-Driven Architectures, Docker and Kubernetes
  • You have experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and know how to build and run your own artifacts
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and constantly revising assumptions in response to new information
  • You agree to shift security to the left and bring knowledge of security practices and performance tuning to the team

Your training goal for your first 6 months

  • You take ownership of the work you do, you are able to understand its architecture and deliver on product requirements and features as well as improving testability and functionality 
  • You are familiar with the EGYM ecosystem and the role of the different teams in the software engineering department
  • You are comfortable working with our codebase
  • You blend with the team and the company culture
