About the role

Crunchyroll, LLC is on the lookout for a passionate Senior Software Engineer, Android to promote our Android teams. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll produce applications that deliver content to delight and engage our audiences, partners and team members. You will also ensure our software products are of the highest quality and reliability. You will be a necessary part of the development team, advocating for top-tier test methodologies and best practices, providing feedback on developer-authored tests, and providing strategic direction for our automated test coverage with comprehensive end-to-end system-level tests. You will report into the Engineering Manager.

We are considering applicants for the location(s) of US-Remote.

About You
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and testing
  • Develop complex, consumer-facing video streaming applications within the Android platform
  • You have a high-level understanding of Android development technologies, frameworks and languages
  • You are familiar with modern Android development tools and practices
  • Proficiency in Kotlin/Java programming language
  • You have hands on experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • You have experience in performance testing tools, and API testing tools
  • You define and deliver technical roadmaps of larger projects, often involving cross-team dependencies
  • You push boundaries using industry best practices and customer feedback to implement strategies that drive Crunchyroll products
  • You provide quality feedback on designs written by other members of the team
  • You help to shape the Crunchyroll engineering culture through involvement with activities outside of your direct team

The Android development teams support millions of users across our mobile applications,  tablet, automotive, and living room devices.  We collaborate with product, design, program management, video engineering, platform engineering, and service monetization to deliver a unique and enriching experience for our customer. We embody Crunchyroll’s collaborative spirit, and work with several teams to engineer scalable solutions that can be shared across all client platforms.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
