Formlabs’ system team designs a suite of highly customized environments for internal and customer-facing use. We are looking for accomplished developers to help us enable our team to deliver exceptional business applications as we scale. If you’re passionate about building great software, and want to work with a remarkable, interdisciplinary team building a 3D printing ecosystem, we want you on our team as a Full-stack Developer.
The Job:
- Reporting to the Head of Solution Engineering, you will join a small cross-functional team made up of software engineers, business analysts, and architects specialized in different tech stacks.
- Drive business solution projects from ideation to completion with minimal supervision as directed by the Head of the Solution Engineering.
- Ownership of end-to-end functionality, new or existing, is an important aspect of this role.
- Back-end: build new and maintain existing integrations written in Python/Django, leveraging Kafka messaging to integrate Formlabs’ Business Systems with other internal Systems and external third party systems.
- Develop internal business and system applications to meet business needs. This includes building the user interface of such applications using Typescript and Javascript based languages such as React.js and Vue.js
- Incorporate logging and observability from the start to enable effective troubleshooting by the application support team and other technical staff members of the team.
- Perform deployments via CI tools such as Jenkins within a DevOps environment. Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker is essential for managing and scaling our microservices-based applications.
You:
- Are a senior full stack software engineer with a minimum of 3-5 years of commercial experience.
- Take pride in being the primary owner of a codebase.
- Are a team player that enjoys working in a collaborative environment with no egos.
- Excel by working outside your comfort zone and picking up new skills on the fly.
- Someone who is willing to be “programming language agnostic” and learn a new one as needed would thrive in this environment, as there are several opportunities to pick up proprietary programming languages for smaller projects.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience integrating with third party systems such as Magento, Netsuite, Salesforce would be bonus points.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
