The CS Money team at Airbnb is spearheading the development of a pioneering platform for financial transactions, aiming to redefine the way money moves between guests, hosts, and third parties. This endeavor addresses critical challenges:
- Unifying Transaction Management: We're creating a comprehensive platform to consolidate existing tools, enhancing security and accessibility for all financial interactions within Airbnb.
- Enhancing User Experience: Our goal is to simplify financial processes with intuitive interfaces and automated workflows, significantly reducing manual efforts and errors.
- Facilitating Seamless Integration: We aim to ease the integration of new products and services, ensuring rapid adoption and streamlined financial transactions across Airbnb's offerings.
- Establishing Robust Controls: Implementing centralized spending control and oversight mechanisms, we're setting new standards for transaction integrity, compliance, and fraud prevention.
- Empowering Decisions with Intelligence: Advancing automation and intelligence to optimize financial decision-making processes, from transaction eligibility to fraud detection.
A Typical Day:
- Work in a highly dynamic environment by collaborating with a cross-functional team
- You’ll be responsible for coming up with creative solutions using skills including Service Oriented Architecture, real-time system, anti-fraud and payments technologies
- Lead the team to design and complete our major technology transformation, and driven cross-team collaboration
- Mentor and grow other engineers in the team
Your Expertise:
- 5+ years of industry experience with a BS/Masters or 2+ years with a PhD
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience
- Proficient in any of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, C#, Python/Django, Ruby/Ruby on Rails
- Experience with scaling and maintaining high-traffic production systems (e.g.well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
- Problem solving: Ability to evaluate technical approaches to problems and evaluate tradeoffs
- Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with stakeholders verbally and in writing
- Strong project scoping and project management skills
- Ability to mentor and develop other engineers
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
