Build software applications to determine and deliver optional liquidity for customers in a cost-effective, robust and scalable manner. Prototype and implement new solutions for software problems. Work with applied scientists and machine learning engineers to build software solutions that power our liquidity services at scale. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from software design and requirements gathering to unit and integration testing. Build enterprise, distributed payment applications that execute settlement within seconds to enable the Internet of Value (IoV). Work with teams across the organization, including product, design, marketing, integrations, ops, customer success, and legal. Be a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership and share expertise with a growing team of engineers. Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and drive best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.

Telecommuting permitted 50% or more but less than 100% per week within same geographic location as assigned office location.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive software development experience; or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years of software development experience.

Of the required experience must have 3 years of experience in each of the following technologies (which

may be gained concurrently):

  • Java language or similar (Typescript, Golang, Scala, Rust, or Python)
  • Relational database technologies (Postgres or MySQL)
  • Message Queuing technologies (Kinesis, Rabbit MQ or Kafka)
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins or Gitlab)
  • API design principles (REST/JSON or GRPC)
  • DevOps and Infrastructure experience (Kubernetes or Docker)
  • Source control tools (Git)
  • Observability and Reliability via CloudWatch (Grafana or Prometheus)
  • Frontend technologies (Angular, React, or a combination of the two)

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in two of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

  • Building scalable and performant enterprise software
  • Building transactional systems backed by an RDBMS or noSQL solutions
  • Experience building and deploying containerized applications into modern distributed computing environments using Kubernetes or Nomad

For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. CA Annual Base Salary Range$178,240—$180,240 USD
