THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Talent Acquisition Sourcer to join our Japan recruiting team. As a Sourcer, you will be responsible for building strong talent pipelines across multiple functions, with a primary focus on technology, sales, and business roles in the Japanese market. You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to identify, engage, and nurture top candidates, ensuring we stay ahead in a highly competitive talent landscape.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with recruiters and Sales leaders to define ideal candidate profiles for roles such as Enterprise Sales, Account Executives, Inside Sales, Channel/Alliances, and Sales Engineering.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future sales hiring needs.
  • Proactively source talent using multiple channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, BizReach, Wantedly, Boolean/X-ray search, networking, and referrals.
  • Deliver regular talent market insights (e.g., competitor movements, compensation trends, candidate availability) to recruiters and sales leadership.
  • Conduct initial pre-qualification calls to assess sales background, motivation, and fit.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles in Japan.
  • Track sourcing activities and maintain accurate pipeline data in the ATS/CRM.
  • Craft personalized outreach to engage passive candidates and generate interest.
  • Engage passive candidates through personalized outreach and relationship building.
  • Proactively source and map top talent in Japan using LinkedIn Recruiter, BizReach, Wantedly, job boards, referrals, and competitor mapping.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{OFFICE_LOCATION}} office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience in Japan, with a focus on sales or go-to-market talent.
  • Strong understanding of the Japan sales talent landscape, including enterprise software, SaaS, or tech industry.
  • Skilled in Boolean search, competitor mapping, and using sourcing platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, BizReach, Wantedly, ATS/CRM).
  • Fluent in Japanese (native/near-native) and English (business proficiency).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage passive candidates.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
