Vendor Master Data Management:
- Create, maintain, and update vendor master data records (e.g., company details, banking nformation, tax identifiers, contact information) in the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure all vendor data is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies, regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, tax regulations), and data governance principles.
- Process new vendor onboarding requests, including collecting, validating, and verifying required documentation (e.g., W-9s, banking details, legal registrations).
- Perform regular data quality checks, cleansing activities, and audits to identify and resolve discrepancies, erroneous, or obsolete data.
Collaboration & Support:
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance, IT, Legal) regarding vendor master data inquiries and issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, facilitate changes, and ensure seamless vendor setup and maintenance processes.
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and data extracts.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to established policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) for vendor master data processes.
- Contribute to the development, simplification, and documentation of vendor master data processes and workflows.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in data management practices.
- Assist in ensuring vendor compliance with various requirements (e.g., legal, financial, security).
Problem Resolution:
- Analyze and resolve master data-related issues and stakeholder inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years experience in in master data management, financial operations, accounts payable, or procurement, with a strong focus on vendor data.
- Strong proficiency in ERP system (Coupa/Netsuite), MS Excel / Google Sheets, MS Word, data analysis
- Understanding of data governance principles and data quality management practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well with a team, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proactive, independent, and customer-focused mindset
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills
- Must be amenable to working a graveyard shift
