This role is a hybrid position that requires 2 days per month (here depending on ABW rules) in our Needham MA office.

As part of the Corporate Accounting team, you will have a variety of responsibilities in areas such as month-end close and account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, process improvement, as well as Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

You will work regularly with accounting, tax, and audit personnel both internally and externally to resolve issues and gather the data needed to ensure accounting transactions are recorded timely and accurately.

The role is demanding but rewarding. We’re looking for someone with a strong academic background and a willingness to roll up their sleeves. You must be a team-first person, as you’ll be joining a close-knit, highly collaborative group where you can immediately make meaningful contributions.

 

What you’ll Do

  • Participate in the global month-end close process including booking month-end journal entries
  • Reconcile, analyze and track assigned general ledger accounts and resolve any resulting discrepancies
  • Support the preparation of multiple international statutory financial statements and related journal entries 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external parties across the globe
  • Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger including reviewing invoices, performing monthly depreciation and reconciling
  • Assist with the documentation and monitoring of internal controls 
  • Provide accounting support to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews, including preparation of supporting documentation 
  • Other general accounting projects and month-end close work as assigned 
  • Hybrid role located at Tripadvisor HQ in Needham

 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a demonstrated high level of academic success
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls
  • Public accounting experience and/or CPA a plus
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel
  • Organized, productive and detail oriented and able to work independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to build customer and internal
  • relationships
  • Ability to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects to completion
  • Flexibility to work well in a high growth environment with a small company feel
