ROLE DESCRIPTION: 

We’re looking for a Senior Staff UX/UI Designer to oversee the design and delivery of thoughtful user experiences that truly empower our customers on social. You’ll be leading complex, large-scale and high impact UX/UI initiatives, helping to design and execute a shared product vision and strategy and leading cross-functional teams to execute and solve UX/UI challenges. While working in a hybrid work arrangement, a blend of virtual (in accordance with Hootsuite’s distributed workforce strategy), and in Hootsuite’s Atlanta office, you will report directly to the VP, Digital Experience. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Lead design thinking initiatives through competitive analysis and relevant user research activities. Leverage insights to promote and influence strategic design-making at Hootsuite
  • Develop, maintain, and extend a deep understanding of Hootsuite's holistic product, business objectives, customers, and competition
  • Act as a thought leader and advisor to the Product Leadership Team in identifying key priorities and driving the strategic vision across the Product team and Hootsuite
  • Provide mentorship and design leadership to the design and development team, ensuring business strategy and objectives are clearly socialized and communicated to the team
  • Influence and improve design quality across the organization through identifying opportunities, defining and prioritizing UX/UI problems, and aligning the necessary resources in order to execute and solve
  • Lead end to end complex, cross-functional UX and UI architecture projects, across various ecosystems or platforms. Act as a catalyst for design innovation, advise on best practices and methodologies, and ensure senior and executive leadership are informed of progress
  • Provide strategic oversight of storytelling through guiding and advising on concept design and solutions that enhance the user experience. Build and maintain cross-functional and leadership alignment through the storytelling process
  • Perform other related duties as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

  • Senior Professional and specialised level experience as an influential UX and UI team member, deconstructing complex design challenges and transforming them into simple, intuitive solutions
  • Expert-level capability using industry-standard UX and UI design platforms. Ability to seek out, validate, and adopt new tooling that improves design outcomes
  • Ability to expertly conduct a wide range of appropriate UX/UI design activities, identify opportunities and create clarity out of ambiguity. Consistently relied upon to tackle very complex problems that heavily impact multiple portfolio areas
  • Deep expertise designing for Enterprise and B2B SaaS products using agile and iterative design processes
