The Solution Consulting team at MongoDB plays a crucial role in translating our customers' visions into value-generating realities, fast-tracking their transformation process, and managing a variety of customer engagement scenarios - from devising innovative solutions to upgrading legacy systems or facilitating the transition to the cloud. Solutions Architects are not only responsible for ensuring that organizations fully leverage the power of MongoDB throughout their digital journey, but also play a vital role in driving the revenue growth for MongoDB. 

As a Senior Operations Manager you will help us take our business to the next level of scale and excellence in our sale evolution. You will have abundant opportunity to meaningfully impact the growth of our business as you work closely with the SVP of Solution Consulting and collaborate across all functions of the business both internal and external to Solution Consulting and the rest of the go to market teams.

This role can be based remotely in the United States with a preference towards New York City, Boston, DC, and Philadelphia. 

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has a natural curiosity, is incredibly well organized, and has strong program management and change management skills - stakeholder alignment, reporting, research, cross-functional communications.

  • Demonstrates a high level of accountability and a huge sense of urgency, ability to make sound decisions and to qualify where you spend your time with competing priorities
  • Has experience driving alignment across individuals and teams, can be a great teammate who can work with individuals from different backgrounds across the organization
  • Has the ability to work independently with limited mentorship and support
  • Should have sales/presales or other relevant customer service management experience and is able to adapt quickly to fast-paced, dynamic changes in a high-growth environment where novel challenges are common and information may be slim

The candidate should have excellent written and spoken English skills. The candidate should have a 4-year university degree or equivalent work experience.

Desirable is 5+ years of enterprise software sales/presales, business operations, or management consulting experience preferred.

What the role involves
  • The Senior Strategy and Operations Manager works directly for and provides direct strategic support to the SVP of Solution Consulting
  • This person is responsible for crafting and executing strategic business initiatives and operational programs in close partnership with the SVP of Solution Consulting and other leaders across the company
  • Assuming day-to-day responsibility for projects and tasks, ensuring progress and successful completion of projects indirectly for some and owning project execution and coordinating internal resources for others
  • Creating and managing relationships to enable leadership success
  • Integrate with and work closely with the Solution Consulting leadership team on ever-changing priorities including strategic planning, organizational transformation, product marketing and commercialization, field communications and team enablement, among other areas
  • Ensure clear, consolidated reporting of program status across a wide variety of initiatives both internal and external to the services organization
  • This person will be encouraged to work end-to-end on projects that include a range of operational decisions and initiatives, change management, organizational enablement, and driving executive communications with internal and external partners

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$101,000—$198,000 USD
