We are seeking a seasoned and passionate Stream Processing Expert to join our Developer Relations team and drive enablement with MongoDB's Stream Processing capabilities.
As developers increasingly choose MongoDB as their application’s data platform, your role will involve directly engaging the community by creating inspiring content and collaborating with a global team of skilled product managers and engineers. From code samples and demos to blog posts and video tutorials, your work will inspire developers from startups to Fortune 500 companies to think big and do more with their data.

Candidate ProfileWe are excited to welcome an influential, established, and trusted voice in Stream Processing to our team. Your passion, expertise and 8+ years of technical experience as a stream processing developer provide the insights you share as you lead discussions in the developer community.
Our ideal candidate loves to enable others and solve complex problems in the simplest of manners with infectious enthusiasm. In addition to stream processing content of our platform you will develop expertise in the core capabilities of MongoDB, data modeling, and emerging topics across our industry.
Though your expertise is unique, our team is built to work together, share knowledge, and grow together. Supporting peer reviews for code examples, demonstrations, sessions, and other content will feed your genuine passion to unleash developer productivity and success.
Position Expectations- Draw upon your solid foundation of building applications that rely on data in motion in real world use cases to work with marketing teams to develop authentic messaging, strategies, and an effective go-to-market approach
- Align across product, engineering, and developer advocacy teams during all stages of the product lifecycle to gather product requirements, deliver launch-ready demos and presentations
- Leverage familiarity with popular distributed streaming platforms and development frameworks (like Kafka, Confluent, Kinesis) to craft hands-on developer enablement materials, such as coding workshops
- Be ready to add to your experience working with data in motion to become an expert with MongoDB and the Atlas Data Platform
- Partner with our Community team to support growth of our MongoDB user groups, Champions, and influencer programs
- Coding expertise with Kafka. Experience with other streaming platforms like Solace, AWS Kinesis, Azure Eventhubs, GCP, PubSub
- Deep understanding of computer principles, a good data structure and algorithm foundation
- Mastery of the principles of streaming computing and technical solutions for large-scale streaming data
- Proficiency in the development and use of real-time computing engines such as Kafka/Flink
- Prolific author of content (tutorials, how to guides, readme) to help developers learn
- Shared documented code and content to support/enable other developers
- Seasoned and enthusiastic presenter at events and/or via YouTube, Webinars, or Live Streams
- ~ 30% travel (expecting 8-12 days on the road, or active in area user groups and events)
- Good to have: Measurable success enabling developers through hands-on workshops and labs

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.
MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$104,000—$204,000 USD
