About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Compliance Analyst / Tax Supervisor to join our Group Tax team in Sofia.This role is responsible for managing SumUp’s corporate income tax and transfer pricing compliance across multiple European entities, ensuring timely and accurate filings, and supporting the development of scalable and automated tax processes.

You will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and Controlling teams to maintain compliance, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen governance across the group.

  What You’ll Do
  • Lead corporate income tax (CIT) and transfer pricing (TP) compliance across European entities.

  • Oversee the end-to-end process for all tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.

  • Clear any existing backlogs and implement a structured compliance calendar.

  • Manage Pillar 2 compliance, including notifications, filings, and payments.

  • Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation and local files.

  • Support the implementation of group transfer pricing strategy in collaboration with external consultants.

  • Manage tax audits and queries from local tax authorities and auditors.

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure tax-relevant data integrity.

  • Contribute to developing a tax reporting package and tax control framework.

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

  What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate tax or transfer pricing within multinational environments.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and international tax compliance.

  • Experience managing multi-entity tax operations across several jurisdictions.

  • Solid accounting knowledge and ability to interpret financial data.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Process improvement experience. 

Nice to have:

  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA or similar).

  • Experience with data transformation or automation tools.

  • Knowledge of EU tax environments.
