Senior Technical Programme Manager - Financial Systems

What you will do:

  • Be the interface to the finance team to manage inbound requests.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including product managers, software engineers, analytics engineers, data science as needed for the programs at hand
  • Regularly work with the PMs & EMs in the FS space to ensure:
  • roadmaps are up to date for reporting and reflects the current state of the initiatives
  • dependencies are managed for programs that are cross-functional
  • annual planning is supported as needed to align with the portfolio management team
  • adoption and path towards team maturity within an Agile framework that optimises the team's velocity and self-organisation
  • Own the regular reporting against initiatives at a group level including but not limited to risk & dependency management,
  • Contribute to the trade-off conversations of the roadmap and the triage meeting to determine the priority of the backlog with the tech teams will be working on
  • Work with the central platform team to help teams strive towards operational excellence
  • Own and deliver cross-functional programs from time to time covering the
  • Program management aspects
  • Reporting
  • Architecture alignment
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Work with the wider TPM community to enable cross-tech planning processes, prioritisation and dependency management

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience working as a project manager, programme manager, product owner or scrum master
  • Experienced in building relationships, and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (technical and non-technical) and across a set of diverse geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects with dependencies and ensure progress
  • Ability to tailor communication and reporting in accordance with the needs and expectations of the audience
  • Ability to break down complex and ambiguous problems and translate them into clear technical requirements while also articulating the value for non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, release management
  • Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions with stakeholders in different disciplines

Good to have:

  • Experience managing programmes related to finance platforms would be greatly beneficial
  • An understanding of the tech landscape across applications, infrastructure, security & data would be an added advantage

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in our London office in Cannon Street. You will report into a TPM Manager.
