About the job

Twilio has experienced significant growth over the past several years. As the Company matures, so has the complexity of its global banking footprint, capital allocation strategy, and day-to-day Treasury requirements. We are seeking a Senior Treasury Manager to help navigate the ever adapting landscape.

This role will report to the Director of Treasury. This person will work closely with groups across the organization including Accounting, Finance, Tax, IR, Legal, and external financial institutions. Twilio is a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for a candidate who is a highly motivated self-starter with a broad Treasury background, with the potential to deputize for the Director of Treasury.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Support the development of the capital allocation strategy and related planning (including capacity modeling) 
  • Support Twilio’s current and future capital market activities
  • Development and management of rating agencies and minority firm relations
  • Preparation and oversight of short and medium-term cash forecasts
  • Oversee Twilio’s investment guidelines and asset allocation, portfolio risk and maturity profile
  • Enhance overall portfolio return, partnering with Twilio’s external investment managers
  • Act as a credit check-point for large supplier transactions
  • Opportunity to take ownership of Twilio’s insurance program (over time)

Required:

  • Minimum 8+ years experience in corporate treasury, finance or related fields; preferably in the Technology or Software/SaaS environment.
  • Subject matter expertise in capital market transactions and managing investment portfolios.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including direct experience preparing materials and/or presenting to CFO Office; proven ability to both listen effectively, articulate complex concepts simply and coherently.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional and cross-geographical teams, comprising both internal and external stakeholders in a remote environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, prioritizing workload effectively to deliver timely high-quality results & recommendations.
  • Advanced degree in business, finance or related field required.

Desired:

  • MBA, CFA, CTP or similar professional qualification.
  • Additional functional experience (cash operations, hedging, insurance, credit, etc.).
  • Experience earned in a large cap multinational or large financial institution.
Location 

This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA,or the surrounding areas.

Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $132,000 - $165,000
  • Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $140,000 - $175,000
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
