We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the Role: Senior Video Producer
Applied Intuition is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Video Producer to lead the operational aspects of our video production team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality video content that showcases our cutting-edge technology and vision. The ideal candidate will excel in project management, resource allocation, and workflow optimization, with a strong understanding of the entire video production lifecycle. You will be responsible for overseeing the production process from concept to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role emphasizes operational excellence and process management, and has the potential to evolve into a key operational partnership with the broader design team.
At Applied Intuition you will:
- Strategic Planning & Operations Management:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for video production operations, aligning with company goals and marketing objectives.
- Establish and maintain efficient workflows, processes, and best practices to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Oversee the entire video production pipeline, from initial request to final delivery, ensuring smooth and seamless execution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Project Leadership & Delivery:
- Lead and manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, tracking progress and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Anticipate and mitigate potential risks and challenges, proactively identifying solutions to ensure project success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring clear communication throughout the production process.
- Team & Vendor Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of video production staff, including producers, editors, and other creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Source, negotiate contracts with, and manage external vendors, including production companies, freelancers, and equipment rental providers, ensuring optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with internal departments, such as marketing, communications, and engineering, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration on video projects.
- Budget & Resource Optimization:
- Develop and manage the video production budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Monitor and track project expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Manage and maintain video production equipment and resources, ensuring proper maintenance, inventory control, and optimal utilization.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Video Producer, Production Manager, or Operations Manager in a video production environment, with a strong emphasis on operational leadership and project management.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the video production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production workflows.
- Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Compensation at Applied Intuition:
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
