Senior Workday Financials Administrator | Finance
*This position can be based in our Charlotte, NC headquarters OR can be fully remote.Red Ventures is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Administrator to join our team. This person will be responsible for maintaining functional configuration and features of the Workday Financials application. Ideal candidates will possess a fun, positive, energetic attitude and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This position will have an immediate impact on Red Ventures business units and daily exposure to our executive leadership team.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Financials FDM and General Ledger, supporting transformation and stabilization initiatives while driving enhancements across core finance modules
- Quickly integrate into an established project team, taking ownership of specific workstreams from design through to deployment
- Oversee and, when necessary, perform the configuration, optimization, and design of key Workday Financials modules, including the Foundational Data Model (FDM), Financial Accounting (FA), Business Assets (BA), and Financial Reporting
- Act as the lead architect for Workday FDM and Financial Accounting implementations and enhancements, ensuring the solutions follow best practices and are scalable
- Collaborate closely with finance leadership, technical teams, and project managers to ensure smooth implementations thorough testing, effective training, and seamless post-go-live support
- Conduct impact assessments to evaluate potential risks, dependencies, and upstream/downstream effects of system or process changes and articulate outcomes to leadership, business partners, and cross-functional teams to drive informed decisions
- Lead and facilitate key activities during testing, training, and deployment to maximize user adoption and maintain solution quality
- Assist in production support activities, including incident response, root-cause analysis, and resolution of service interruptions
- Manage integrations between Workday and other third-party systems (including EIB, Studio), troubleshooting and optimizing where necessary
- Provide ongoing post-implementation support, identifying system enhancement opportunities and driving continuous improvement
- Play a key role in supporting future-state governance processes, ensuring effective oversight of data, system enhancements, and security requests
- Ensure compliance with robust security configurations and effective segregation of duties within the Workday Financials environment
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants, as needed, to support system upgrades or additional functional area implementations
- Stay up to date with Workday Community updates, new releases, and industry best practices to ensure solutions remain relevant and innovative
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years Workday experience
- Strong accounting and finance experience is required, serving as the base for effective consulting or system administration work
- Workday Financials certification or certifications in related modules
- Extensive experience with Workday Financials modules, including Financial Accounting (FA), Business Assets (BA), and Financial Reporting
- Strong expertise in the Workday Financial Data Model (FDM) and its role in security, financial reporting and compliance
- Experience in managing multi-entity or global financial systems
- Previous involvement in post-implementation efforts, such as stabilization, optimization, and ongoing improvements
- Proven track record in configuring and managing Workday security settings within financial modules
- Hands-on experience using Workday integration tools like EIB, Studio, and Core Connectors
- Demonstrated experience in supporting and delivering end-to-end Workday implementations or managing major system enhancements
- Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with stakeholders across technical and business teams
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates a positive, adaptable attitude with a collaborative mindset, thriving in an environment of change and evolving business demands
Compensation
- USA Compensation Range: $130,000 - $160,000* *Note actual compensation is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
