We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)

About the role

  • Develop new applications that can be used and then modified by automotive customers to improve their simulations.
  • Develop VehicleSim-based applications and models and gather feedback from users to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals by collaborating closely with our automotive customers to provide technical support and collect data for new feature development.
  • Create thorough documentation for new and existing software applications.
  • Develop procedures for testing products and provide feedback on new versions of our software.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team to develop and conduct customer training.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Systems
  • 2 years of experience in a mechanical engineer role with an automotive company
  • 2 years using Chassis system modelling and vehicle dynamics simulation using MSC Adams, IPG CarMaker; Kinematics and compliance analysis using MSC Adams
  • 2 years of physical system modelling using Matlab, Simulink and Simscape; Embedded software development/calibration using Vector lnformatik tools (CANape); and Vehicle dynamics test data collection using Dewesoft.

The salary range for this position is $79,373 - $160,000 per year USD annually.
