Our Opportunity:

Chewy is currently recruiting for a Site Lead to lead our front-end pharmacy operations in Louisville, KY. As a Site Lead you will lead a pharmacy team responsible for sourcing, reviewing, and entering prescriptions from providers on behalf of Chewy pharmacy customers. Our pharmacy veterinary services teams are fully dedicated to providing top tier customer service to the veterinarians and the pet parents they serve in a contact center type environment. This role reports to the Director, Pharmacy Operations and works directly with the pharmacist-in-charge. You will lead and inspire the development of the management team and pharmacy technicians by demonstrating a command of operational efficiencies and a mastery of team member engagement. This person will be responsible for setting high standards and goals for customer experience and ensuring that these standards and goals are achieved.

What you'll do:  

  • Lead a team of 200-250 pharmacy technicians and supporting leadership responsible for maintaining prescriber partnerships and prescription processing.
  • Work directly with the facility pharmacist-in-charge to maintain compliance standards that align with board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Uphold a culture focused on exceptional customer experience for both veterinary partners and Chewy pharmacy customers.
  • Accountable for all performance metrics of the front-end pharmacy including safety, compliance, people, quality, and cost.
  • Leverage customer feedback to develop system and process enhancements needed to improve delivery experience.
  • Successful delivery of projects from ideation to execution in partnership with internal and external teams.
  • Support a problem-solving culture that engages all levels in defect identification and solution implementation.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff.
  • Manage budget and control expenses.
  • Develop and recognize staff effectively.

What you'll need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a pharmacy, healthcare, or ecommerce environment.
  • Pharmacy experience strongly desired
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
