Hear from our team about what it's like working at Monzo â¨
đLondon (UK) | đ°ÂŁ55,000 - ÂŁ65,000 + Benefits | Hear from the team â¨Why Monzo?Weâre here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.
We want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.
We're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo. The RoleWeâre looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join the team at Monzo! Someone whoâs experienced with content creation and lives on their FYP â to take our short form video channels like TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube to the next level.
We reach millions a month with entertaining content that makes people feel seen and shows off our personality. Through witty, relatable posts, weâre challenging what a bankâs social media should look like. And in the process, we aim to make the awkward, intimidating subject of money feel a little bit better.
Weâre proud of where weâve got to. But weâre looking to take things further, and make all our social channels famous with brilliant, creative content thatâs uniquely Monzo. Beyond just chasing trends, we want to actively contribute to culture and re-define social media marketing, in our industry and beyond.Your Responsibilities
Youâll own our TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts channels, crafting entertaining content that shows people who we are and gets them talking about Monzo. Youâll come up with ideas, write scripts, produce, shoot and edit the content and post it every day.
Youâll also work on cross-channel campaigns, collaborating with the rest of the social media squad and other teams in marketing like Brand, PR and Growth Marketing to produce campaign content for your channels.
Plus youâll have plenty of freedom to pursue your own ideas for creative stunts, partnerships and beyond.
Together with our Social Media Lead, youâll shape our strategies for these channels. And youâll be responsible for measuring how your contentâs performing, reporting back to the team (and the wider business), and using these insights to iterate and improve on your work.
We produce most of our work in-house and have a dedicated Brand Designer who youâll collaborate with on content. We do work with agency partners, especially for campaigns or content that needs more elaborate production.
This is for you ifâŚ
- Youâre obsessed with TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. Youâre plugged into the platforms and have strong opinions on what brands and creators you rate.
- Youâre skilled with video editing software and familiar with in-app creator tools across platforms.
- You have experience creating short form video content for a big consumer brand, thatâs driven results â growing reach and views, engagement and followers and getting your brand regularly talked about.
- You have brilliant, big ideas and know how to create content thatâs distinctive and engaging.
- Youâre experienced with script-writing and can write compelling scripts to engage and entertain an on-screen audience.
- Youâve got good judgement â you can be sensitive, empathetic and appreciate risk.
- Youâre comfortable on camera and happy to feature in content â and youâre confident approaching other people to be in videos too.
If you have experience creating social media content for another bank or in a regulated industry, thatâs a bonus!
This isnât for you ifâŚ
- Youâre used to working in a very large team â we need someone to get stuck in producing content every day, working independently or collaborating with our Brand Designer.
