The Crunchyroll Store team is dedicated to super-serving anime fans by offering the best selection of merchandise, seamless user experience, and outstanding customer service. Collectively, we are responsible for all facets of operating a small business from the ground up including sales, marketing, product development, logistics, and more.

Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for our passionate communities.

A day in the life of our Social Media Manager, eCommerce:

The Social Media Manager, eCommerce will own the Crunchyroll Store's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter); to include strategy, planning, posting, moderation, and reporting. This role will provide direction on promotional messaging/creatives and craft social exclusive assets with the objectives of continuous growth of our channels, acquiring performance insights, and supporting revenue goals.

  • Foster a deep relationship with audiences over social media, utilizing organic marketing efforts to reach users in a meaningful and engaging way.
  • Own and maintain the store's social media calendar, executing across all of our store channels and leading a strategy that supports revenue and growth goals.
  • Supervise community responses and commentary, serving as the voice of the store, and work with our eCommerce and Customer Service team to assist fans.
  • Report on performance and utilize data to inform and improve social media strategy and planning.
  • Stay up-to-date with new platforms, content types, and practices to innovate our store social efforts.
  • Collaborate across the eCommerce and Marketing teams on the effective use of the social channels with creative assets, timeliness of posting new inventory, and what product trends we are seeing with social audiences.
  • Lead integrated efforts with our Crunchyroll (main) and various anime title pages, coordinating and continuously optimizing a cross-posting strategy to maximize social promotions.
About You:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media or community marketing, with a preference toward work in eCommerce and/or direct-to-consumer business.
  • Experience marketing strategically across the major social media platforms; to include how to tailor content by platform and what kind of content works best to meet specific marketing or business goals.
  • Shown success selling products directly through social media and tracking against revenue goals.
  • Strengths with social media publishing platforms for scheduling, moderation, and reporting.
  • Interested in the broader marketplace and competition. Aware of changing trends and customer behaviors that impact the way we market.
  • Excited by fast-paced environment and passionate about apparel/or the anime space.
  • Respect for anime and its lifestyle and culture, familiarity with fandom communities.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
