Role: Social Media Manager Location: London, United Kingdom
OLIVER is growing. As we expand our global network and bring new accounts into the fold, we're building a pipeline of experienced Social Media Managers ahead of confirmed opportunities in London.
This isn't a live vacancy. It's an invitation to start a conversation — so that when the right role opens, we can move quickly with people we've already connected with.
If you're an experienced Social Media Manager open to hearing what's coming, we'd like to meet you.
WHAT THE ROLES LOOK LIKE
Upcoming opportunities will be based in London on a hybrid working pattern (2–3 days per week in our London offices), embedded within OLIVER's in-house studios working across new FMCG brand accounts.
These are execution-critical roles at the heart of high-volume social studios. You'll own how a brand shows up day-to-day on social — managing publishing calendars, optimising content for platform performance, and feeding insight back into the team to drive continuous improvement.
The role bridges strategy (what the brand should do), content (what gets created), and data (what's working). Success looks like content that lands correctly every time, performance that improves week on week, and a team that has clear, actionable insight to work with.
We support flexible working and are open to different arrangements. We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Publishing and Platform Management
- Own scheduling and publishing across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
- Ensure all content is posted on time, correctly formatted per platform, and aligned with channel strategy
- Manage platform calendars across always-on content and campaign activity
Platform Optimisation
- Adapt content for each platform — adjusting captions, formats, and structure to apply platform-specific best practices
- Ensure every asset is fit for feed behaviour and optimised for engagement before it goes live
Content Planning and Calendar Management
- Maintain and manage the content calendar in close collaboration with Strategists, Account Managers, and Content teams
- Ensure a balanced mix of planned content, campaign activity, and reactive opportunities across the calendar at all times
Community and Engagement Oversight
- Monitor social activity and flag key trends, audience conversations, and engagement opportunities
- Ensure responses are timely and interactions are aligned with brand tone
Performance Tracking and Optimisation
- Track content performance across platforms — engagement, reach, retention, click-through
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to Content Creators, Strategists, and the Social Creator Lead
- Identify what to scale, what to optimise, and what to stop — and communicate findings clearly
Multi-Market Coordination
- Support publishing and optimisation across markets, ensuring local adaptations are correctly implemented and market-specific best practices are applied
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Social Strategists, Content Creators, Designers, Data Analysts, and Account Managers to keep what is planned, produced, and published in alignment
- Maintain clear communication on timelines, asset readiness, and platform requirements
Process and Workflow Management
- Support and maintain publishing workflows, approval processes, and platform guidelines
- Identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements that increase speed, accuracy, and reduce rework
Budget and Financial Administration
- Track and report on content production spend at a project level
- Raise purchase orders and support invoice processing alongside the production team, escalating discrepancies promptly
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong, practical knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts — including platform algorithms, content best practices, and audience behaviour
- Experience managing high-volume publishing across multiple platforms and markets
- Demonstrated ability to manage content calendars across multiple workstreams and deliver consistently to deadlines
- Sharp attention to detail across accuracy, formatting, and timing — in environments where getting it right every time matters
- Comfortable reading and applying performance metrics and platform insights to improve content outcomes
- Able to translate data into clear, actionable feedback for creative and strategy teams
- Strong coordination skills with experience working across creative, strategy, data, and client teams
- Clear, confident communicator in fast-moving, high-volume environments
- Background in social media management, content publishing, or digital marketing — ideally across consumer or FMCG brands
- Experience in agency, in-house, or embedded studio environments where always-on delivery is the norm
- Experience supporting project-level budget tracking and financial administration, including purchase orders and invoice processing
Gen AI & Agentic Thinking
- Proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to social media management — including tools that support publishing workflows, caption and copy generation, content variation, and performance analysis
- Experience building personal AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload
- Agentic approach to platform and delivery challenges: able to identify patterns, break down problems, and find efficient solutions independently
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply sound human judgement before publishing or acting on them
Nice to have
- Experience in multi-market or embedded studio environments
- Familiarity with social scheduling tools and community management workflows
- Experience coordinating influencer or creator-led campaigns
