About the role

As a Software Developer in Test (SDET) within our Video Experience Team, your primary mission is to uphold the highest standards of quality in our video releases, enhancing the experience for our global fans. You'll serve as a cornerstone in the software development and quality assurance process, channeling your efforts into the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools. 

You will collaborate with software engineers, quality assurance teams, and partners to ensure top-tier, reliable software delivery. You'll also integrate test automation into feature development, addressing complex challenges, optimizing performance, and enhancing the user experience, all contributing to Crunchyroll's fanbase growth.

In the role of Software Developer Engineer In Test Video Engineer, you will report to the QE manager.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

• 2+ years of Quality Automation or Software Development experience, with a concentrated focus on API Automation experience
• Have developed (Automation) code for 2+ years using Javascript/Typescript or a similar language
• Hands-on experience with Automated testing and frameworks like Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, Suitest, WebdriverIO, or ResTest
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with QA processes, test design strategies, writing test cases and automating tests
• Previous knowledge of working with globally distributed teams, and willingness to meet with partners in different time zones
• You are an analytical, and creative problem solver with experience with quality processes
• BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• You have a need to ensure high quality products. Even small product bugs annoy you.
• You have a love of automation. Repeating manually repetitive tasks inspires you to automate.
• You understand the need to talk to everyone to get a complete picture of what the quality is supposed to look like.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
