Your Key Responsibilities

• Support the team by building automated solutions, providing easy access to data, as well as driving our team forward with your new ideas in order to grow our revenue.

• Consider complex logical problems and develop pragmatic solutions with regard to relative effort and business value.

• Write code, run systems, own infrastructure, automate development, raise the quality bar, grow team members, challenge the status quo, and actively exchange with other teams on interfaces and data flows. 

• Enjoy what you do and be willing to teach and learn new technologies.

Your Profile

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in a software development role and deploying your workloads to the cloud in an automated way (we heavily use AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and only use cloud native technologies)..

• Proficient with Python, Scala or Java. Willingness to learn new languages.

• Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following topics: Search Infrastructure, Distributed Systems, Machine Learning or Batch Processing (Terabyte-scale). 

• Big plus: working knowledge of Airflow, Docker, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Spark or BigQuery.

Our Tech Stack

• Most of our services are written in either Python or Scala.

• We run our systems on AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.

• We use CircleCI to test, package, and deploy Docker containers to Kubernetes.

• We monitor our services with Datadog, Kibana, Sentry, Cloudwatch, and PagerDuty.
