Software Engineer - Data Network Platform

 

Why we have this role

The Data Network Platform team is responsible for enabling developers and scientists to build data-driven product experiences through data assets. We provide the data pipelines, tooling, and platform-level interfaces that enable structuring data through schematization, retrieving and transforming schematized data into data assets (benchmarks, trends, insights, etc.), and serving those data assets across product surfaces.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help evolve and innovate our infrastructure.

As a Software Development Engineer at Qualtrics, you should love building simple solutions to solve hard customer problems. How you'll grow

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team in order to build the engineering platform that enables data asset creation, release, and integration into product experiences across Qualtrics.
  • Design & build the greenfield, foundational systems that are tackling some of the most difficult data problems at Qualtrics (data infrastructure, multi-brand analytics, schematization).

 

Things you'll do

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems. Find quick ways to prototype and test possible solutions to large problems.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, collaborate on team on-call, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers.
  • Lead and engage in design reviews, architectural discussions, requirement definitions, and other technical activities in diverse capacity
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and scientists across teams.

 

What we're looking for on your resume

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience developing cloud-based software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Experience working with large scale data processing technologies (e.g. Spark, Prefect, Presto) is a plus.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
