We are a team of enthusiasts dedicated to crafting reliable and scalable solutions that contribute to the development and transformation of enterprise applications. Our approach emphasises sound engineering practices, using modern technologies and a cloud-based microservices architecture. This enables our enterprise teams to integrate and achieve their goals. As a member of the Crunchyroll team, you will report to the Director of Software Engineering, Enterprise Technology.

This position is based in our Hyderabad office.

• You have 3+ years in the field as a Software Engineer
• You have recent hands-on development experience with Python (3.8+) or Node.js
• You enjoy working with engineering teams on daily delivery blockers, listening to issues faced within teams, and providing unbiased, business-focused solutions
• You code and build quality and scalable software solving the hardest problems that can be used by others
• You have exposure to Cloud native services (GCP preferred)
• You have experience writing unit tests and synthetic tests with tools like pytest, jest, and puppeteer
• You have experience in an "Infrastructure as Code as a default" culture using tools like Terraform
• You have experience with modern architecture patterns like microservices and serverless
• You have experience with API development (REST, gRPC)
• You have experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Firebase, or similar
• You have familiarity with CI/CD patterns using tools such as Github Actions or similar
• You have familiarity with operations and support systems like DataDog and OpsGenie

• You will collaborate across engineering teams, product managers, and key partners to identify and address business-critical bottlenecks
• You will strive for engineering excellence throughout organisational domains by implementing effective tooling and by meeting expectations of our business stakeholders
• You will enhance the security of our platform through the implementation of improved tooling, monitoring, and alerting systems
• You will contribute to evaluation of new infrastructure options in collaboration with operations and direction from our Principal Engineer
• You will support and enhance internal processes, spanning engineering, product development, and communications
• You will engage with Finance, Content Operations, Marketing, and other members of the Senior Management Team to comprehend critical business challenges and offer solutions
• You will write critical code and make informed trade-offs. You solve problems by implementing solutions that are as simple as possible
