The Payments Tribe is looking after SumUp’s global card processing platform. As a part of the Payments tribe the Payments Self-service Squad is dedicated to providing SumUp's customers with a seamless payment and payout experience. We build comprehensive views of received funds, payout reports, and easy to use payout settings.

We're looking for an experienced backend engineer who values a tech-agnostic approach, takes ownership of their work, and understands the importance of delivering customer value. You will have a global impact on our merchants' payment and payout experience, spanning across 30+ markets.

 

What you will do 

Our teams are cross-functional and work with end-to-end responsibility, that is why you will collaborate heavily with Product, Design and Engineering professionals to ensure seamless deployment, integration and support for our software. You'll actively contribute to product discussions, API design, code reviews and implementation with a focus on clean, testable code.

You will be great for this role if

  • You have proven experience as a backend engineer, preferably with Golang
  • You have a good grasp of microservice architecture and app design 
  • You have experience with complex fault-tolerant systems 
  • You are proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment
