Software Engineer I - XM Directory

Why We Have This Role

As a Software Development Engineer on the XM Directory team, you would apply your distributed-systems knowledge, familiarity with full-stack development, databases and storage-engines, web-service design and implementation to build premier software and services.

Things You’ll Do

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple solutions to solve a wide variety of business problems
  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive optimal performance and feature adoptions
  • Develop features through a mix of backend services and front-end development
  • Maintain systems in production, resolve customer issues, and participate in team on-call rotation
  • Contribute to team meetings, attend project review and operation review meetings, design enhancements and new features, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers
  • Work closely with product teams, product management, UX, QE, and more to solve customer needs

 

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Experience with software architecture and distributed systems
  • Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background
  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
  • Experience with software engineering standard methodologies (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents)
  • Be highly creative, flexible, self-directed and resilient

XM Directory team offers the chance to work on high-scale, distributed systems that power most of the products at Qualtrics. We offer technical and product challenges across the development stack, from data storage and retrieval to highly-performant front-end applications. You will have the chance to collaborate closely with a large team of skilled engineers as we build out new capabilities to support Digital and Human Frontline, Employee Experience, Healthcare, and more. As an engineer on XM Directory, beyond designing, building and operating services and features, we encourage you to understand the needs and challenges of our customers. We welcome engineer involvement in the product roadmap to allow us to anticipate the needs of our customers and product teams.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.

Washington State Pay Transparency Range$87,500—$165,000 USD
